ParaForm Made-to-order storefront where every size is yours.

View live site

A storefront for made-to-order solid wood wall panels, furniture, clocks and decor. Nothing has a fixed size: the buyer sets width, height and depth in millimetres and the price follows.

How we made a catalogue with no fixed sizes read as ordinary shopping: pick a piece, set it to your wall, watch the price move.

01 · The premise

A catalogue where nothing has a fixed size.

Each object is authored once as a parametric model. Width, height and depth are inputs; the relief, the rib spacing and the joinery all resolve from them. The storefront's job is to make that read as ordinary shopping, pick a piece, set it to the wall you actually have, see the price move, order it.

02 · Identity

A serif for the object, a grotesque for the machine.

Prata carries every product name and headline, high-contrast, slightly old-fashioned, the register of furniture rather than software. Work Sans handles everything functional: dimensions, prices, controls, specification. The two never trade jobs, which is what keeps a configurator from feeling like a spreadsheet.

03 · Collections

Four ways into the catalogue.

Each collection gets its own landing page built from the same five blocks, so a visitor who arrives at Wall Panels and one who arrives at Decor learn the product in the same order. The photography changes; the reading sequence does not.

04 · Page system

One skeleton, four collections.

A collection page runs the same five bands every time. Hero states the category, the slider shows where the work lands, the four steps explain how ordering works, the grid presents the models, and the FAQ answers the questions that were otherwise emailed. Only the photography and the copy change between them.

05 · Product page

Everything above the fold points at one button.

A made-to-order piece has no size to add to a cart, so the page holds back. Gallery on the left with a 3D tile at the end of the thumbnail rail; on the right a status dot, the name in Prata, a starting price or "Price on request", one sentence, and Configure. Specification moves below into four tabs, where it can be long without being in the way.

06 · Made to order

Four steps between a model and a price.

The same sequence sits on every collection page, worded the same way each time. It is the part of the site that has to be understood before anything else works, so it gets a full band and no photography competing with it.

07 · Drawing to object

The section stays true at every width.

A wall panel is a run of ash lamellas at 20 × 800 on an 18 mm mounting board. Because the profile is a curve rather than a repeat, stretching the panel does not stretch the detail, the lamella count changes and the section holds. The drawing on the partner page states that in the language a workshop already reads.

ParaForm · The section stays true at every width.

08 · Trade

A second front door for the people who specify.

Designers, architects and workshops buy differently from a homeowner: they need to show a client the piece at the client's dimensions, in a room, before anyone commits. Become a Partner is built for that conversation, an isometric room with the model in it and two sliders, so scale is demonstrated rather than described.
